Skaha Receives NRC-IRAP Funding to Develop Microwave Soil Moisture Sensor
We are pleased to announce that Skaha Remote Sensing Ltd. has been awarded a non-refundable financial contribution of up to CDN $45,000 from the Industrial Research Assistance Program of the National Research Council Canada (NRC-IRAP).
The research funded by this award will further advance the development of our microwave soil moisture sensor and its application in Smart Drop—Skaha's flagship irrigation scheduling product—as we are moving closer to commercialization and expanding our partnerships.
NRC-IRAP provides financial support to qualified small and medium-sized enterprises in Canada to help them undertake technology innovation. The project aims to advance Skaha's unique remote sensing solution to provide farmers and agronomists with real-time, field-scale soil moisture information collected from their centre and linear pivots.
